HZ Windsor Blue Van. 1978.

Hi guys. Here are a few pics of our 78 Windsor Blue HZ Van. 253 4 speed with Buckskin trim. Close to finished just have a few small things to complete, and have not made up our mind on what to do in the back yet.

And this is the next project. Big job this one!!!!

Absolutely beautiful job on the van Justin, would be nice to see some pics of the completed interior and engine bay.

So you're the one who bought that HQ ute, that was a very original looking example and very rare being a Belmont based HQ Sandman ute as the majority found have been Kingswood based. Could you post up some more pics of it in it's current condition.

Love the Blue HZ, my second favourite colour Super rare HQ ute as well. Probably the rarest Sandman there is.

I've checked out your resto post under oldholden.com.au sheds. Loved the progress.

Was the ute, the one on EBAY from Penrith?

Thanks for the comments guys. And yes it was the ute from Penrith. We thinks she is pretty rare too, very late hq with HJ Mandarin red paint. Big job as I mentioned, but came with a great spare shell. I will post some pics in the HQ section. I have not many good pics of the engine bay and interior. I will take some and post them up.

Nice work Justin. Just picked up a HX sandman the same colour or it will be soon (some jack-ass have painted it Toyota Red) mint body, factory air & steer.

Yea it's a great job. can you please tell me the point of the pins that were welded along the body?

There was probably a scrape along the quarter, you attach a slide puller to the welded on pins and pull the dent out then cut the pins off and grind the weld spots off.
