    Hey Guys

    Hey guys just stumbled apon this forum while searching and drooling over HZ Pics. Really looking to get into buying my first HJ or HZ and looking to restore it. What was your starting price for your 'blank canvas'? as i'm looking for some general starting prices to start saving for.. i know there is so many variables but im looking to get a HZ windowless and do it up :D

    there is a HZ windowless van for sale in town here(rockhampton, QLD, miles away from you though) no motor/box, was originally 6cyl, standard dash and bench seat, has rust and dents, paint is rooted... has full length hoodlining, needs heaps of work to get back on road.. was advertised for $1000... he reckons lowest he will go is $400... not a SANDMAN....

    yeah i spose it all comes down to what i can find. Maybe ill start with a standard HZ then move onto getting a sandman when i have some more cash.. But it all comes down to what i can find.. Also im not to fussed about a roadtrip to get it hahaha..

    the cheapest way to get into a van is to buy a wb and modify it back to look like an hjxz...thats what my sinbox is...

    Funny isn't it. How many years people pulled off HQ-HZ fronts to put WB noses on, and how dear WB's were to buy as wreckers wanted them to sell panels. Today a good single headlight front for HQ-HZ is as much sought after as a WB one, maybe not as valuable as individual items, but harder to find.
