today I spent time at the RTA getting a permit to drive the van about town without Rego to take the van home from the panel beaters after buffing, and to have the Decals put on, auto electrician to check wiring, and other places that we need to go to to get her ready for Rego...yesterday the exhausts went on, and she sounds amazing

..Rodney spent Tuesday sealing up a couple of small leaks...me spraying the front of the van with water for ages

and then I cleaned out all bog dust and soda from the interior ready for the carpet, and the cupboards and carpet in the back....

so here she is pretty much ready from the outside...now waiting for door trims, and seats to be finished....not long now....

No that is Stickthis instructions which were very well written and acurate....for stripe positions.....

Looking great Jennie, can't wait to see it in the flesh at Easter.

FYI.... All Sandman vans had black handbrake and handbrake covers the same as the steering column... only Kingswoods and up had colour co-ordinated on those....

Crap we went to all the trouble to paint that handbreak, but it was painted black over the top of the brown, and don't bother to tell me that it isn't a sandman please

I am thinking that our sandman was brown, will tootle off to the Red van to check that one out....I do believe you Sean, but don't want to at the same time :lol:

Your right Jennie, I just checked the HZ parts catalogue and it shows coloured for the handbrake.... black handbrake must only be HQ and HJ.

Sean thank god for that, I was thinking we had an ambo pack, but luckly we did have those blackout pics under the newer paint, to prove it wasn't....:lol:...look forward to Easter too btw....

also yesterday while the yellow van was having exhaust fitted, a rep. came to the business and asked "did the bloke who owned it want to sell"...old matey said 'he doubted it", but would mention it...we said "he couldn't afford what we want for it"
