He did put a price - Not cheap.
More importantly, is the original owner selling the vehicle? I see a lot of "one owner from new" vehicles being sold, by the second owner who's only owned it for 3 or 4 months. That gives me the shits cause you know they've given the old guy they bought it off about a third of what they are asking.
Good to hear. It's condition is definitely a credit to you.
looks like a 308 M21...
so how much$$$ , anyone????
i was under the impression that stainless sill moulds and wheel arch moulds were an option in the day...

"All correspondence must bear these numbers"
They were an option, mine were fitted after purchase in 1979.

Geez, that takes me back. That is in beautiful condition, a real credit.
"Proud To Be An Old Fart".
Dealer fitted accessory, not an option.
Wow you are picky Byron...lol. You are correct, they are a dealer fitted accessory. However, when you are 23 yrs old and buying a new Sandman ute off the floor, the salesman asked, what option's if any would I like to have fitted? I only needed mudflap's,so that's why I classed them as option's.
Cheer's.
"Proud To Be An Old Fart".
308 auto Sandmans were available, I have a few recorded. A lot of the series 1 Overlanders were genuine HX L31 M41 Sandmans probably as this was the easiest way to get a 308 ute or van. HZ L31 M41 are also rare but were available.
Being a 1978 van it would actually be 99.9% sure to be Brisbane or Adelaide assembly.
Robbo, mudflaps were an option you could actually choose and they would be dealer fitted unless XW5 (outback equipment package) was ordered where they were factory fitted. However I don't have any info that shows you could actually option the sill moulds, so these if these are on a car from new they'd have to be a dealer fitted accessory. Not sure if the wheelarch moulds fit the same category.
