1917: 1 x HJ van, 2 x HX vans.

1937: 1 x HZ van (series I). 1 x HZ ute (series II).

I've just used series I and series II for HZ to distinguish between pre and post 11/78 specs, this is not an official GMH moniker, just used it for ease of discussion.

I didnt think the Saddle Tan Van you had was a sandman? Or have I got this wrong or have you found another? Mine is the ute. (well its meant to be brown)

Must be a new one since I told you what I had last. It is an Elizabeth 3/78 18V XX7 van, in L31 M41 GU4 spec (I don't record where the ID came from or when simply so that the database has no references to any personal or vehicle location details). The non-Sandman is a 4/78 63V Kingswood ute in L31 M21 GV4 spec. Yours is a "series II" example as it has Commodore trim (I'll stop calling them series I and II HZ or it'll be all over Ebay in no time like you see with HK Monaro and GTS!).

i dont know if im getting lost in this conversation but here goes! a while ago i sent through all my sandmans and maybe also monaros details to monaroparts.com , one of these was my saddle hz van, is this the one you have listed or is mine another? so any way is saddle and bordeaux rare or not so?

That would be me. Monaro and SS details were sent on to Ben Stewart for the MOnaro Register. And that van would be yours. Most HX Overlanders were Sandmans!
