Original HZ radio???

2jjj was the first fm station to go to air in oz and that was on the 1st august 1980...that radio is from an hz not an hx and like i said they are rockin horse shit as you could only get them late 79/80 in the hz series etc..:

My van is a 10/78. That would mean if I put this in it would not be technically correct as they did not exisit as an option at that time.

I may as well put a modern stereo in there!

I am thinking If I can get good money for it I may as well sell it and put that money towards other things.

hz am/fm is worth at least 1k as it is the rarest of all...:crikey:

i would be starting it at $750 with a 1k buy it now...people are paying 3 to 400 for dirty old am radios...why wouldnt it be worth 1k?...

I put the HZ AM/FM radio as above in my HX Monaro and just removed the fascia and painted the needle white. I bought the complete HZ Caprice loom and speakers with the radio many years ago on eBay for a song and haven't been able to find one for my HZ Sandman now under a full rebuild. I mainly wanted it for the original look of a GM radio and to play CD's via a FM transmitter hidden away!
