I recently advertised a car on there. heres the story...

Put it on as classified ad and within 2 days a MASSIVE KNOB agreed to buy it via best offer and then changed his mind. So i got hit for re-listing fee of another $20 because of some indecisive dipshit!

To ad fuel to the fire stoking in my fists of rage i sold the car OUTSIDE of ebay a week later and got hit with a $40 final value fee!

I refused to allow them to take the money (sent an email) and the dogs took it anyways. I have now asked that my account be pulled permanantly.

    I HATE Ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why dont you just file a dispute and state that "seller changed their mind." Its one of the options. He will have to accept it. Then you will get your $40 back.

Yes you loose the $5 listing fee. But shit happens I guess. It happens to me from time to time. People change their mind etc. I just file the dispute and then get my final fees back and you also then qualify for a free re listing.

Hope that helps. ebays not that bad.

At least now you know he's a proper tool.

Off on a tangent here, what is it you're selling? Snowboard and Boots? I'm guessing it must be girls sizes if he mentioned his sister.

Gaddy, sadly you are between the devil and the deep blue sea, I hope you get a good result when this ends...how annoying...I give stuff to the salvos because I can just see this happening to me...

I do buy on ebay and have just bought a Thomas Sabo Kombi van for $14 as apposed to $239 which is the recommended retail price. It maybe a knock off, but I have studied it and can't tell....for $220 less who cares

As it is a van I feel I can put this up on the site....

That's correct! I had two bOards kickin around for too long so I listed them both separately. One sold to a local who is picking it up tomorrow, the other with the boots to this Stooge! Ah well ya get that sometimes I guess!

Thanks for all your input guys. Very appreciated and helpful to.

G'day guys, Just a query. I tried selling my bullbar on ebay in a standard auction format. Had it listed as $1650 starting price. Had 6 watchers that followed to the end, then didn't bid. I figured I'd relist it as a classified ad, but now not sure it was the right thing to do. I'd like to relist it as an aution, start the bidding at 0.99c, set a reserve price and see how much the public are willing to bid to. This will tell me if I'm prepared to let it go for a lesser price, or if it meets reserve I'll happily sell it.
My question is, Can I remove a classified ad? I can edit it, but I'm not sure I can remove it?
