@OZ. I thought the price was a little high because its a replica Sandman. Wouldn't think twice about spending that much on a genuine one. I have to admit, it's a a great example of one, and someone wanting a replica Sandman in that condition, this would be a great buy. But still the price would stop me. If I we're to spend 28 on a replice, I might as well wait find a genuine one and fix up that. :Chin:

Oops. Did I say replica Sandman. Its more like a customized HJ Panel Van with Sandman stripes and bits and pieces. If it we're a replica, it would be a splitting image of a HJ Sandman, which it isn't...

A lot of the custom vans in the 80's weren't Sandmans and that is a very nice 80's style custom van.

Try buying a van and totally rebuilding it from the ground up, customize it and include the goodies he has and you'd be doing extremely well if you managed to do it for his asking price. It's worth the money if you were looking for a good customized van, if you were paying someone to do all the work for you and did little yourself you could easily blow through $40,000 for a ground up rebuild.

for a genuine by the time you bought it you would have gone thru to 60k for a resto...

29k for a van that is a custom and if the quality is as good as it looks in the pics its right on the money....
