    I reckon if it is as rusty as it looks you should look elsewhere. I'd be looking for a good 6cyl one, mechanicals are cheap. Body work is time consuming and expensive.

    Looks OK to me M8!! No details on the rust in the ad though so would be a good idea to have a good look over it..

    what is the process for removing rust i hear around the forum people saying they cut the rust out then 'make' a bit of metal up for the spot and weld etc etc it in.. Does that mean they shape metal to fit or just cut out the same spot from a spare panel etc etc

    really should get an issue of unique cars sounds like a bargain im still in the process of saving to about 6k

    You can cut bits from other panels, use aftermarket rust repair panels or make your own patches from sheet. It depends on how complicated the shape is and if you have a better panel to salvage the patch from really.

    and then there is the..."i cut the rust out".. but replaced the hole with fibreglass or plastic filler coz it will never rust again...:angry:

    yeah i seen that post.. i think ive decided to go with a sandman since im investing so much time and money into it i may as well wait around and look for a good one... once i get the money i will post a topic asking for anyone knowing of one selling because as you have said no rust is best..
