~ $400 for a front bar and about the same for the pair of rear bumperettes, you'll need straight exchange units, small dings and rust is fine as long as theyre not twisted.
the chrome is also copper based not nickel based (not sure what it means technially, but my painter tells me this is a very good thing and the chrome will last ages and not go white over time)
tail light surrounds, headlight surrounds and grille surround are all original items as i just spent ages hunting good bits.

I would say its all about the look. Everyone (bar the handful of people on this site) know the difference between a sandman and a panelvan. so i thought that i would have a bit of fun restoring the wb into a sandman look a like. I would love to do an all original resto, but due to budget restraints i would much rater get the best possible parts for my money and build a car.Originally Posted by rcknrlla

In a few weeks time I'll Start experimenting with UltraSonic Cleaning.
You may have seen ultrasonic cleaners to clean jewelry, but i plan on making on big enough to clean car parts. I think this will work a treat to clean any plastic with grains (ie dash facias)
