    That does make sense as the HX-HZ engines had a 2 way vacuum valve which is now reproed, but the earlier car were a 3 way and impossible to find.

    I think you can still get the taps through "gates" Not sure how they compare to rares repro but I would think the gates ones would be made somewhere other than china. Not sure. I can talk to gates if anyone likes as I deal with them at work. I might give em a call anyway.

    i got one for a wb from motor traders $45 bout 12 months ago, was in a gm bag and it came with the clip.

    The vacuum heater taps are not real flash that I have had on my ute. Two new ones and they both let hot water past into the heater core, which sort of defeats the AC a bit. Ended up using a pɹoɟ:cry: one that the AC man recommended.

    It'll only be there the make the car look totally original. I'll probably plug the hoses at the water pump (like they are nowadays with grub screws) so the heater and inlet manifold doesn't get any water. The later examples that Rares sell repros of are pretty crappy too. This one is a genuine one in a GHM box.

    So is the tap Im thinkin of puttin in only really reqd if you have AC fitted then?

    which ones of our in particular byron? the hz 2 way vacuum unit? if we have to look for a new supplier we will but we figured these would of been the best as they are genuine GM from the USA
