    Ahh the old crochet blanket.
I have one on the back shelf of my Commodore.

    Reminds me of crochet bikini's.
    I remember these ones: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/WHITE-Sexy-Br...item564220dca3

    But not these ones: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Crosses-Hand-...item27b81e3664

Would have been hard to let it go but as you say it's going to a good place.
Excuse my ignorance but could you tell me about how "rare" this car is? Were there not many produced or are there none around anymore?

It was the 'first' run of the Sandman and a very short run because the HJ started coming off the line soon after the HQ ceased at the end of 1974.

I only think Byron would have the numbers (if any) of the small run of HQ Sandman's. Also the popularity didn't really kick off until the HJ

I have 53 HQ Sandmans recorded, not all are guaranteed as Sandmans though as some are tag info only and not verified, however those that aren't verified are flagged as Sandmans due to various reasons eg non-Brisbane build with metallic on Belmont, 308 M21 2 seat etc.
