nsw rta rejects my new plates for sinbox

i applied for new plates and recieved this in the mail today... :Chin:

Thats a bit over the top. I reckon sinbox is worse. Makes about as much sense as the rta usually do.

james there is an interesting story that goes before the sinbox plates...i have also held ozbox which is where my forum name came from many years ago..i handed those plates in when i got bored of them...check the macquarie dictionary for the real definitions of box...15 years ago a guy i knew who owned valiants could not get the rta to issue wogbox because they said it was offensive..not because of the word wog but because of the word box..
me being a bit cheeky applied for ozbox and they let me have them..he whinged and moaned to whoever would listen and i fully expected they would recall them but they did not so i was surprised again when they let me have sinbox because of the definitions that the rta pointed out from the macquarie dictionary back then...
of course sinbox refers to a recepticle of cardboard,wood or metal and nothing else...

So if your plates were rejected how did the old matey I was talking about in another thread get to have Taroot which I think is probs more offensive, but maybe he was planting cuttings in a vege patch and the cuttings were in the back of his commercial vehicle :Tongue:

probably because the nsw rta has handed over the special plates to a private enterprise since late last year and they have some old school mums sifting through number plate applications...:Chin:...:Sick:
