Taking the Sandman along to go in the show. Rob is coming as well and bringing his Monaro this time.

My internet was down yesterday but fortunately I logged in to MySandman on the Iphone and saw this post so took the family up for a looksy.....
Only saw two Sandmans.... this orange one was obviously a replica though as it had a twin headlight front and no XX7 stamped on the data plates....:Tongue:
It was parked next to a green HZ taxi with lots of GTS bits on it, I was told the owner of the taxi also has a nice Absinth Yellow HJ Sandman van....
A nice Saddle Tan HZ Sandman ute, needs a set of Jasons decals though as the decal colours were all wrong.
Trivia question, what is wrong in this picture????
This was really cool so I had to take a pic of it. Either this is a really excellent condition original rego sticker I found on a nice originally restored 66 HR sedan or it is a really good replica... which ever I thought is was a nice touch to the restoration.
Was nice to meet Ian, Rob and Hainzy also. Was a nice day out with the family and very little mud around considering all the rain we have had of late...

If it is a HZ sandman ute it should not have the chrome bits in the blinkers parking lights, and the headlight surrounds are upside down, and maybe the gts guards....

The headlight surrounds was more what I was posting about as I didn't want to seem as though I was picking at a very nice ute..... it is amazing how many HZ's have the twin headlight surrounds incorrectly fitted, often one side is correct and the other side not so I guess people don't notice they are squared off at one end and rounded at the other end....
Got to agree with Ian, that is one beautiful HZ GTS Rob has...

Rodney got the surrounds, I noticed the other, I actually like GTS guards...That ute is still very nice, as are all the other cars in the photos.....
