non runner car transport is always fun and they do take there time...i sent an ek windowless van from newcastle to perth via melbourne and i believe that took 6 weeks..
i am currently waiting on my motor home cab chassis ford transit which is north of coffs harbour and that has been a week since ok to pick up was given..hoping to get it by thursday...
for any other people reading this, non running cars are best picked up by boat/caravan transporters..everyone rings the car transport guys and they generally charge like a wounded bull...even running cars i use them as they are generally cheaper because they are more laid back...
as for your van sitting in melbourne ask them to fork it into a taughtliner or flatbed instead of waiting for a vehicle transporter..i get a lot of cars forked on and i fork them off..![]()
I got my non running ute home from melbourne to Dubbo on Rod Pillon Transport. Forked on the taughliner and forked off in Dubbo. I got a tow truck to tow it to the Pillon depot in Melbourne.
It was home about 3 days after I organised it with Pillons. They said they sent more crap off ebay all over Australia than you would believe! I also sent a bike I sold on the bay to Adelaide with them no dramas.
