My HJ had the original fascia (as marked by the production date on the back) which was black, but when removing it I found evidence of the silver in a couple of the corners that was not removed.

Mate can you post some pics of where the silver is left on your facia...... the parts manual shows your part number as being the black facia

my hj is a 76 spec car (10-75) and it has the black fascia.I know the previous owners and this is the original dash.

don't think so as HX GTS had silver fascia

I'll check my HJ catalogue when I get home. I have not seen a black fascia listed from memory.
