So for those beginning to get confused and unable to weed the sarcasm out from the truths, the quote above is the most honest reply on this thread.

the glass in the rear of any van was not model level specific and i question the same as HK, is factory and dealer glass the same, and has anyone got a van with build sheet to prove they have factory / dealer glass.

if, and this is a bit of an assumption, holdens factory fitted the glass then there theoretically should be a part number in a book yes?

I sort of get the feeling that it was a case of factory outsourcing - getting a glazier to fit them which meant that size and shape would depend on where and who did the job. My first Van - A chamois Hj 308 sandie had windows exactly like those on the orange van Absinth posted earlier.

all im putting out there is that (to the best of my knowledge) there isnt anything special about the rear side glass in a pano

As I said I have a production broadcast sheet for a HQ XX7 showing factory side glass. Anything one these sheets is factory fitment. It shows the option code up in the header plus has a Y in the box for FIXED SIDE WINDOWS

The glass on Agro's HZ is factory fitted... the glass on his HJ is dealer or after market fitment.

Dealers generally had local contractors to fit the side glass if and when needed. IE.. they had a windowless van in stock that the customer purchased but wanted side windows.

You can pick factory glass, it is narrower in height, the rear glass is longer than the front glass, factory glass has straight sides except for the rear side of the rear glass which is angled slightly to match the line of the rear pillar. The two panes are close together at the centre pillar.

All ex Government vans with side windows are factory fitted as that is how they were ordered.

The glass that was in Ians van is factory style also. I would bet money it was a factory side windows sandman.
