Your first Holdens

Thought I would start a thread on your first Holdens...





MY first car was this poor LC GTR. I hacked holes in the door trims to put in speakers and mounted a tape player under the dash. Of course I added the chrome rocker cover and one of those silly small chrome air filters so I could hear the mighty 161 suck...



I moved up to this LH SLR which was imaculate and had been a 1 owner family car.



This is it at Bathest next to my mates XC.



Whatever year this was.... I think I remember yelling to Moffet he was a wanker in the pits next to his RX7 but I was too pissed by then to care..lol

that I unsuccessfully tried to emulate Brocky's laptimes in and nearly ended up in the fence...





This one was a real eightys car with the mural. It was an LH as well but I tried to turn it into an LX when I built it. God knows what it origionally was because it had the X on the conrods and some mechanic told me they were L34 heads... It also had solid lifters and roller rockers and some hugh cam which made it eat plugs all the time around town. It sung along at the end of the speedo nicely. :-)

Obviously a bit later, but my first "Holden" and V8 (finally after ten years of waiting), was my bermuda blue HSV VT Clubsport. But as a young girl I wasn't allowed the Panelvan I first saw, or the SLR Torana ,so I ended up with a Datsun 200B (not quite what I had in mind!!) :cry:

LH Torana SLR - Red - Got the ^ wreck and rebuilt it. Was a real weapon, had it all (sold )
LX SLR5000 - Aquarius still got it and currently being restoed after 20 year wait
LX SS Torana - Ultra blue, original 5.0L auto, ended up running 11.6@115mph. (sold)
VL Brock GroupA - Red (sold )
LX SS Torana - Aquarius. Original 5.0L Auto, hubcaps and all. Sold Middle 07 for big bucks to buy my boat.
HX Sandman Van - Papaya, collecting dust waiting for resto.
