hmmm ok time to find a 100% untouched sandman or two. I wonder if it differed from plant to plant........

Might try to get the top layer or two off the sandman van I just brought to see if I can still see the blackouts without damaging them. This was one of the many things I got rid of when I done my HZ sandman ute back to metal..... 10 years ago no one cared. Was original paint too....

Anyone got any tips for identifying original paint? I've had my Sandman for 15 years now- at least half of that it would have been kept outside- and the paint is still in pretty good nick. Colour is consistent all over, no crows feet or Bog cracks. I'm starting to think it's either original paint or whoever resprayed it was the Leonardo Da-Vinci of the automotive finishing world. No decals on it and no evidence of them , could have been delete stripe option.

I'll get some pictures up soon. I was going to bring it back from the farm yesterday but discovered that my ramps wouldn't fit on the truck with the pantec installed.

See Jenny and Rod and get measurements off the Madeira Red HZ Sandman, it was Pagewood from memory (hopefully they have left it alone!). My mate has an untouched Acacia HZ XX7 van too that I can compare your measurements to once you get some.
