Looks OK but you never know what is hidden under paint.

you need 2 sets of spanners and sockets, metric and imperial coz from the factory they ran a mishmash of both and after they left the factory people did the old..[hq to wb are the same] which meens that they are always fucked up bolt wise....:Chin:
Ah that explains the grey area as ive only had two wbs apart, one was all metric and the other was a mix..

Thats no good, i guess thats one benefit of living in the sticks and having paddock bombs! is it possible to go get your manual licence before your off your p plates if you buy a manual van? worst part about it is the no V8's. im about half way through mine, only 2 more long years to go..

Don't even be thinking thoughts like that or you're never going to end up with a van. The wrong gearbox is much easier to fix than a rusty pile of crap. I've got a pile of Automatic cars I'd happily trade the auto setup from one for a good manual setup.

Don't be picky on the little things. Find the neatest straightest body you can and buy it. Everything else can be sourced from a $1000 donor vehicle and all leftovers sold off. That's the beauty of the Sandman Replica. The good body is the only part in high demand. Everything else is run of the mill stuff easily sourced from a less desirable model and available in abundant quantities. Just check ebay's restoration and damaged cars section for how many HQ-WB's for sale.
