Factory, all wb got it, including statesman. I suppose every change is an afterthought as they move through the years.

I had a late HX tonner chassis (still at Greg's) with RTS geometry, and it had the holes for the bars in it from memory.

All HZ's I have owned have had them. All 3 I have now have them. I believe that the bolt holes are always there too. Not sure if its a HZ onwards or earlier also?

I have heard it was part of the outback pack. which also included things like mud flaps from memory. But not sure...

I do wonder if its more part of the RTS pack.....

Also if you lower your car they are a MUST!!! as the shorter and stiffer suspension does make the chassis crack easier.

I have never understood why the rear swaybar was deleted from WB if it was part of RTS. The world moves in mysterious ways.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but could someone give a list of things to look for to identify if my ute may have had the outback pack. Mine has the strengthening bars, but appears to be missing the rest of the pack. The ute had undergone modifications here and there before I bought it, so they may have been removed? Any means of identifying if any of these parts were removed?

they were standerd fit on hz and wb's
i owned a hz prem wagon with the plastic cover over the steering joint and a few parts that i had not seen on the other hq to hz's that i have owned and was asking my father inlaw about as he was working for a holden dealer around the time the hz was new and he said the wagon had the outback kit with was the cover over the steering joint to stop rocks from flicking up of the road and jamming the steering
when i see him next i will see what other items were in the outback kit

sounds plausible about the outback pack with the plastic thingo. Would think that sort of thing would be important in a concourse resto if anyone does one.
