    correct scuff plate screws

    Hi guys

can someone tell me which is the correct scuff plate screw from hq-wb's?

i was out at the wreckers and 2 of the cars had this screw as pictured
but on ebay there are NOS versions which look different

the original i have is a truss or washer head 10 gauge 24tpi
where as the NOS ones on ebay are PAN head and i beleive 8 gauge

    ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NOS-Scuff-pla...item2c5b0da659

also what is the correct coating, chrome? zinc?

the screw pictured is a self drilling builders type screw...WRONG....

the ones in the ebay add look closer to correct but that part number is wrong and as we know these superceded numbers are sometimes also wrong..i can send you some samples if you want..i also need to do that hktg rubber for you as well..

Im fairly sure they are zinc plated screws much the same as the fleebay ones.

I hope the self drilling screws have not made the holes to big to put the original ones back in.

funnily enough cav i have seen many of the same types of screws used over the years..mainly in utes/vans/tonners as people in the building trade use whatever was in the back of the vehicle..
