They are an aftermarket thing.

yeah its got a tiny bit of rust along the seem but i can fix that up.. every one ive looked at has got that bit of rust.. im going up sunday to look at it. He wants around 5.5 but i might try and get it cheaper.. ill start at 4.8 :P
Fridge magnet.
Take a magnet and gently place it around known rust spots (all over the car), You will have rust that is an undeniable fact it is a question of how much and where that will help you determine the added costs in repair.
