BO6 = Rarer then a Sandman
yeah its got a tiny bit of rust along the seem but i can fix that up.. every one ive looked at has got that bit of rust.. im going up sunday to look at it. He wants around 5.5 but i might try and get it cheaper.. ill start at 4.8 :P
yeah thats probably the first thing ill do..
Not a bad looking van Nicky..... A set of GTS rims, a GTS dash and and some DX5 stripes and you'll have a nice Sandman replica.
Good luck with it, hope the magnet doesn't find any hidden surprises...

I thought this may suit you too. Looks to be in very good condition, is an auto and is a HZ. It is a console shift Kingswood too meaning it is basically Sandman except for the guages, mirrors, nose panel, steering wheel and blackouts. Only body difference is the side/tailgate strips. Easy conversion from 253 trimatic to pollution red 202 and trimatic. It'd basically be:
Unplug engine harness.
Remove radiator.
Undo speedo cable.
Disconnect T-bar.
Remove tailshaft.
Undo engine and trans bolts.
Unbolt exhaust.
Undo fuel line, heater hoses, pollution hoses, battery leads, throttle cable and brake booster vacuum line.
Remove engine and box.
Get HX or HZ pollution 202 and trimatic complete with harness and auto lines.
Drop in 6cyl and box.
Put in 6cyl radiator and hoses.
Plug in harness.
Connect T-bar.
Put V8 tailshaft in.
Connect vacuum hose, battery leads, fuel line, heater hoses, pollution hoses.
Replace V8 throttle cable with 6cyl one.
Connect speedo cable up.
Remove V8 exhaust and get 6cyl one fitted.
That is probably about it apart from a few minor bits and pieces. Apart from the exhaust I reckon if I had a complete pollution red 202 and auto next to the car I'd have it done in less than a day. Removing the bar, nose panel and radiator support and using an engine crane to walk the engine and box out and then slotting the new one in is the easiest way.

I'm 99% sure that van is an ex Newcastle one.
I remember seeing one EXACTLY like it about 2 year ago at Glendale.
Little windows in tailgate aren't very common.

I'd say that's bog. It is an area prone to rust.
The line in the join shouldn't drop down like that either.
hmm judging on that it might be an expensive job for rust repair but ill save a 1000 or so for that? could always maybe graft something in if its real bad
assuming the bog ends pretty much where the line goes back to normal
