I was watching it last night as well.

There were lots of emotions when people were talking about Peter Brock, kind of showed the mark of the man.

It also got me to wondering, how much would one of those "Energy Polariser's" be worth? Are they a collectors item? Does someone here own one?

Enjoyable show, great seeing the cars.

I should mention, not that I personally believe that the "Energy Polariser" actually works man.

I watched it the other night also. Great viewing. Talking of Brock, I got the Peter Brock book for Christmas. I started reading at 10am and was finished at 4 . Great reading.

I never realised that was your van! I've watched that series a few times and just assumed it must have been Steve's. Naïve of me I suppose, and I was envious that he had such a nice van. I'm glad it's yours, now when I watch it next time I'll (sort of) know the owners!

Great series too, it brings back a heap of memories.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!

Our HDT calais sport wagon is polarized. This was built after the split with GMH.This wagon was HDT,s own run around wagon.
As for being a collectors item,This wagon is one of two Calais sports built

I love the use of the word polarised, so nonchalantly, so natural, LMAO

The word is POLARIZER.Or polarized, the other is for sunglasses
I have had the good fortune to speaking to PB as well as Eric Dowker on this subject.
    They believed
As some people believe in Negative iron generators.
The wagon was built with it so it stays with it.
As to what I think,Well I think is it a real nice wagon(196kw)not bad or an 87 car,And that is the spec from HDT.

    Cheers Kiwivan

Polarised is actually the plural for polarity. Polarized is the the American spelling.
    Hence the name Polarizer.
They are the same word essentially.
Turned out to be a fairly bad decision for Peter Brock sadly though.

a rare wagon indeed but also a very small market that would be interested too. I found this out with my 87 calais turbo wagon and 03 vy ss wagon... they took ages to sell!!!

We were at Smiths lake near Forster for new year the van was parked on the lawn at my uncles across the road is the lake, so heaps of families walk past, we had lots of comments one being we saw one like that on TV recently. So then we got even more interest when we said it was ours. They must have re-run the program.
