Ok that would be great. I will do some research on the WB/HQ/HZ etc. See if the part numbers are the same etc etc.
I dont have a WB parts book so if someone else does and can let me know the number that would be great!!

I looked at a tonneau from a parts shop recently, the material looked nothing like the one I originally had on my ute back in the early 80's and i would be very reluctant to buy it.. (Don't know if it was an original cover either) but the cover loooked thicker and had heavier backing. I immediately thought that when the time came I would look to get one made out of something a little heavier.
the original WB ones that i have seen have had a tartan material on the inside..

I noticed an original WB (aside from black rope) with an additional seem in front of the centre :Chin:WBU.JPG

Theres one, if anyone gets it let me know how it fits. I want a tonneau with the straps like that(how the go straight down to the hook) and not like the ones that make the V shape leading down to the hook .
Would there be much difference in the material they were made from back then, to what they are made from today. The original one on my ute now seem's quite ok, doesn't seem inferior quality or anything.

If the earlier utes had the same cover as a WB then they had a David Jones style pattern on the underside. Just would be nice to get them the same as they had when new. Seems no different to having the correct door trims and headling etc. The tonneau is such a big part of a ute as well. Stands out heaps if its wrong.
I dont know if I woukd be game to put it on though after spending a motza on paint!
