That's what I said, standard on HQ-WB Kingswood except Sandman. Optional on all others.

Byron, is it possible or likely that each plant had their own local suppliers for these? I still have the tonneau from dads old HJ Kingswood ute and use it as a trailer cover, pretty sure it was the original one to the car but it doesn't have a patterned backing as others are saying it should.
I don't recall our old WB Kingswood ute having a patterned backing on it's tonneau either.... both cars were Brisbane build I believe.

7/76 HX Monaro 4dr 308 4sp... Absinth Yellow and rusty as hell.. SOLD

Very possible local suppliers were used. It makes sense that they might as plenty of other stuff was local. Unless tonneaus were such low volume that they came from one place.
I don't think you would have had a Brisbane built WB. I'm pretty sure these were all Elizabeth build as W sized vehicles finished before the end of HZ from Acacia Ridge.
Or worn it!
None like this?
Very interesting. hmmmm. It looks like I will need to find out more before we start doing them.
Getting them to cost $50 each I don't think is achievable either. So if they are done right and are period correct do we think that they will be worth the $150-$200 mark? If not the only choice would be to get them made in china. I would rather avoid that as nothing I do is overseas made.

I reckon $200 would be pretty reasonable. I would put my name down for two if they are correct. Whats correct though? Robbo, what was on yours?
I know that one i have pictured is correct for WB as a mate of mine bought one new and said its the same as the one on his.

Here's some pics of the original on mine ('79 HZ Kingswood). The underside is plain & it doesn't have the additional seem of the WB one I posted earlier.
Note that I've replaced the original white cord with black elastic though.
