    Jason,

the original ones on my utes back in the day were one piece and that is how I would do them if doing new ones...... a seam in the middle is just another potential leak.

    Yes I tend to agree.

I have just spoken to a bloke with a WB ute. It only just had the original tyres taken off. Due to cracks etc. Not due to wear!

He has sent me heaps of pics of the cover. There is a join. I will post a pic soon. I think we will use this one as a pattern but maybe not put a join.

The join isnt dead in the middle. Its in the front half of the cover...

I reckon leave the join. Its how they were and they dont leak. You can slip down to supercheap and buy the wrong one already.

Can you find the correct material?

If you look at the photo of Robbo's ute on my website taken from the rear you can see a join about 12" in front of the centre support.

Yep thats right Byron. Im finding that more have the join then dont. So Im leaning towards doing the join also.

Material should not be an issue incording the chick that will be doing them. She said she already uses a very siimular material.

not sure if this is genuine or not? The sew lines in corners are sharp but on my original all the corners are curved..
