Rodney and I went back to our first house we had together, and took some photos of our van...

The house has changed a bit, and there was a tree on the footpath, so we couldn't get an exact picture.

Those numberplates don't mean anything as they were only the ones on the stationwagon, and we put RB3128 from the van onto the stationwagon, before we sold the van, so probably will put RB3128 back on the van, and buy Jen0102 or something like that for my Jeep which RB3128 is currently on...thanks for all the homework though....

and those LStar mags I think that is what they are, won't go back on the van, as we prefer the GTS rims....

The pornstar shaved off his beard so now no longer looks like a pornstar, will take another photo with the shirt on as still have it, and probs have those shorts somewhere too....def have the thongs sadly....

and the people were not home, and if they were we would have asked them could we shut the gate and drive onto the footpath...

Tell Rodney he'll have to grow a beard... then run some dye through it....

and you'll have to stop feeding him for a few weeks...

Then you'll have a perfect match.....

I thought the stripes seemed a little bright with the blue being lighter when you first posted pics of them fitted.... those pics above confirm it now....

The stripes I have for my van are a darker blue like on your original van.

Sean I will post a pic up later tonight of the sample guard I have that was removed from a van in 1980. Colours where matched from this.

Very difficult to compare the colours between those photos. Judging from the different colours that come out of different print labs for Heidis photos in 2011 I would imagine that when those photos were printed and with the test of time they could be no where near the actual colour of the stickers on the van.

Here is a pic of our repro and the guard. I brought this from a bloke who removed their guards in 1980 to fit GTS ones.

As you can see the colours we done if anything are more glossy.

This guard the decal I can say is original. Its 100% screen printed. No one has done screen printing except us and the old sandman Club.

I have also got a photo of some NOS ones that the sandman club used for the sample. I however will not post that pic up as I do not have permission from them. If someone would like to see it email me and I will forward it. You will see that the colours are the same as the guard I have compared to the sandman clubs NOS stripes.
