IM TAKING SOME VERY HARSH OFFENCE TO THIS!

    haha nah kidding.

Yes correct. With ONE of my cars I am doing a very anal build. This is just because I want to do it once. date correct rims. Hmmm I will if I can but if cant I wont stress.
My HZ GTS has no rust. Original shell etc etc. Hasnt seen the road for many years. (approx 15-20). This is also planned to be a 5-10 year project. Budget of around 50K with me doing all the work myself as far as mechanical, paint etc etc. So it will be around 40K in parts. So far I have spent around 15K on NOS and quility parts. Its still a bare chassis. Crazy? maybe. But its one of those things. I have always dreamed of this car since I was a little boy. Finding one 50km from home in a shed well that was a dream come true.....

My HZ sandman ute. I have spent 30k and nothing is original except the dash gauges, tags and chassis.

My HZ Sandman Van - will be original tags, engine and chassis. Interior and paint will be original also. BUT it will be original looking. Not anal. Thinking of lining the back and sticking each colour combo of stripes up on the inside..... This build will be around a 12 month build.

Date period restore for me, it may change I am being flexible.

However because of the commercial nature of these questions and the obvious benefit for part resellers, they should not be allowed to reply to this thread.

funny about the rims. I got lucky when I bought mine 2nd hand and the dates married p with my Sandman. Now I have the 7 & 8 inch rims and am caught in 2 minds as to whether to fit them as non original but a better stance and look or stick with the 6 inch originals with matching dates.

Stupid as you say as you can not see the dates with tyres on anyway. I know it is stupid but can not help thinking about it.
