It would not be uncommon to hassle the dealer when ordering and get a different decal set.

Unlike HQ and HJ..... HX and HZ came from the factory with the stripes fitted so would most probably be what the Holden factory colour combo specified. Only some colours were available with optional stripe combinations like Absinth Yellow.. DY1 and DY2. All were available with delete stripe option DL7.

I don't think it looks too bad, does look better in the flesh on fresh paint.

What other HX decal would go with the blue???? Probably why they introduced DY4 and DX5 in the HZ range to better compliment the paint colours.

I thought DY2 was what deauville blue was meant to have in HX? I have a set of DY2 here waiting to go on deauville blue because I thought that was the correct combination?

Yes all sounds like it is correct. Its one of those things. Like you said Sean I guess there was no better combo in the HX range.
