The export side of things makes sense now that you mention it.

On my VDO speedo's I have.
QA 120mph
with stamped dates of
2/72, 10/72, 3/73 and 5/73

QR 125mph 200kmh
2/74

3/74 sticker missing ?

QB 200kmh
5/74

And of those these have have the ink date codes on them
4/2/72
4/5/73 which also has 5/5/73 on it.
4/2/74
13/5/74

The three flexidrives I have are
2 X 125 mph-200 kmh and 1 X 200kmh.

So none are the QW QM QK QX RD that HQ1837 posted so I assume they are the GTS speedo codes.


So combined we have

02/72 1X
10/72 1X
03/73 1X
05/73 1X
120mph (QA)

02/74 1X
125mph 200kmh (QR)

03/74 1X
125mph 200kmh (sticker missing ?)

4/74 HQ Sandman ute had a 200/120

05-74
125mph 200kmh 1X
200kmh 1X (QB)

6/74 HQ GTS/4 140kmh/220mph

8/74 HQ, its KM/H and MPH. ?

08-74
200kmh 1X (QR)

Does anyone else have any speedo's laying around that they can check and post up
up the details for.
I can post images of my speedo's and the ink codes if anyone wants to see them.

Yes alot of good info I am convinced that my sandy was factory with 140 MPH/ 220 KPH speedo and all the other instruments have the 74 date on them.
