You cant forget arguably the biggest and best Holden one..... A9X!
Sean already said it!
The biggest and best was always L34 though. It was used twice, once for the HK GTS327 and again in LH Torana. L34 only ever made it into 1 or 2 HK's before GMH decided to create a separate model for the GTS327. Before that it was always going to simply be a GTS (0737) with L34 option. The V8 HK GTS (307) is option L30 on an 0737 GTS. With L30 on GTS you got 307, Saginaw, 10 bolt, 6" rims, radius rods etc. Option L34 got you the 327, twin exhaust and the big tank plus the L30 bits (but as before this got changed prior to release to a separate model). We all know what L34 was on the LH.
Don't know for sure that the belts in my ute are original but have included a pic below - note I reckon the black plastic part used go all the way around the clasp but has long since broken up - only the bit at the base of the clasp remains... Looks similar to the ones from the Monaro LS brochure pic that Absinth posted but without the stalks and no plastic surounds?
Also had another belt lying around I think also from an HQ based on the pic's that Absinth has put up - have also included a pic.

AN5590 - Thanks heaps for the pics that made it so much easier to understand, i did notice thought that the pics have different belt type's as in the type of weving the straps are mad of, am i assuming right that the bottom photo with the Horizontal style of stitching is the older and more correct??

GNW1974 - Exacttly what i neede to know, thanks for the help champ!
MAUSER - Were the stalks from the late HQ's like the Statesman different from the HZ and fit the buckle end of the std seatbelts? If you find out pls let me know, cheers for the help though!
Byron - Once again your just a wealth of helpful info! Thank you!

yeh thats about right and to throw another into the game...there was 2 types of silver metal buckles..1 was a flat buckle and 1 was a wedged buckle...these i believe were plant specific...the wedged buckle as pictured was for brisbane built cars i believe and the flats were all others...or was it brisbane and adelaide that got wedged and all others were flat...or is all im waffling with only torana related?
--- Updated ---
ok..things like this bug me when i cant remember but should so i went for a walk in the paddock and found a sydney built hq which had wedged buckles..so its the flat buckle for brisbane.
quite happy to have someone put there 2 bobs worth in if im still mixed up..
--- Updated ---
now i remember..lj torana had flat buckles in the front and wedged in the rear if it was brisbane built and somethin else if it was adelaide..
my head hurts...![]()
