The new seat belts from - Monaro Muscle Parts - James Van Buuren turned up yesterday and i must admit they were a bit exy$$ but once i pulled them out of the box i realised that it is true you get what you pay for because they are excellent quality and im really happy with them, thanks James..
They will slot in nicely to the HQ, can anyone offer any suggestions for when i come to fit them please.
Cheers crew

More intersting conversation.....:Chin:
Well i just spoke to the bloke who sold me my van and was discussing things about HQ's etc.
Well F&%K me if he didnt introduce me to one of his mates who also has a 7/74 HQ sandman that he purchased without the XX7 but full history of the vehicle says it was definatelly bought from Holden as one.
It's got all the right, interior, numbers etc and bits etc..as you can imagine i went into detail.
I told him about this website and suggested he get on here to introduce himself and make the most of all the good stuff it offers!!
He has done a bit of work tyo the van and its not in its orig state, ie engine now a blueprint 308, tubbed the gaurds etc, but it still is a glorious windowless HQ whos true origins are a sandman...
Shit i should start a Tasmanian HQ NO XX7 club
Ill get more details and stuff as i know they will be requested and get back to you, i only had a half hour to chat with him but we are catching up for a run in the next month or so and ill get pics etc.
Most HQ Sandmans won't have XX7, especially in Tasmania. Most of those will be Elizabeth bodies which is probably what the one you describe will be. It'd be rare to find a Pagewood or Acacia Ridge van bought new in Tasmania. Yours will be very much a minority to be firstly an Acacia Ridge van in Tassy, and secondly being a Brisbane build to be missing it's special vehicle package code.
Ill get back to you Byron but im 99% that she is a Brisbane built...wtf?
Just looked at all your pics up, as they said in 'Life of Brian' you lucky lucky bastard![]()
