in the last 2 weeks we have been doing more of the little things that pop up..our auto sparky from hell put 8 hours in over 2 weekends and got all the fog lights,driving lights,h4 headlights and reversing camera working with numerous relays mounted to make sure our lights are bright.he also wired up the cd/dvd so reverse camera works.
he put some fandangled solinoid thingo in the engone bay to operate the 2 batteries so they automatically cut in and out so no switching of batteries needed before or after camping.
we have spent a few hours screwin around with fuel gauges to suit the sender unit in the oversized alloy fuel tank i got from a wb van wreck..
finally today we had success by removing the sender from the sinbox and putting it in the big van..turns out that someone had modded the sender using a commodore one for some reason..dont matter now as we have it working using an hx fuel gauge sitting under the dash for the time being..
we wired up 4 speakers this arvo so radio/cd player has noise.
also mounted a reverse spot light which doubles as a light to find the beer in the esky.
fitted all new power points in the van as well as they were a bit worn out.
2 more days before we head to bathurst..will update with pics before we head off on thursday morning..
