I think they are the proper commercial jacks, at least that is the same as the one in my WB. I think those chunkier ones must be from an earlier series, or not. I will stand to be corrected on that though.

They are...... considering they were in every ute, van and tonner from HQ to WB they are quite hard to find now.... everyone must have done what I did back in the day and toss it in the shed to be replaced by a quicker and easier to use hydraulic one.

I got a really good handle with it also....

Yes mine has been dragged across the tar too many times... all I can make out of the date stamp is a number 1...

Yes the bottom caution one seems to be the most common. But a 3rd style one has been found also! :knockout:

I have three wind up jacks, 1 with the 'boxed' in piece for the handle as such and 2 which have just the flat metal fork so to speak.

1 is well worn and has no markings on it but the other one is fairly new if not nos and has a warning sticker on it as well as a typed manufacturers tag. It's from W.H. Wylie & Co in S.A. and has the capacity and the low and raised height measurements as well as a warning typed on this label that's stuck on the jack.

Can anyone here ID this and tell me what it's from? Was W.H. Wylie a supplier to GMH?

Any help would be appreciated, Tony
