GM2 type ignition and door and tailgate and the round one for the glove box
I just got two (supposed Nos) sets for my HX...... I'll get the locks re-done to suit the keys.

Absinth,
Are those square keys GM1 or GM2?
I always assumed that these (pic below) are GM2 or is the early type (up to HG)with hex shaped head GM1?
What is the round one called?

At the risk of getting into trouble from blocker I will quote Jennie from another thread about tailgate locks. I thought about just adding to that thread but figured it relevent to start a new thread for HZ Van keys.
Gaddy we replaced our ignition and door locks with rares cylinders, rodney thinks the lock guy said, they were based on what he called GMH 2, as it happens, the GMH 2 key would not fit into the backdoor cylinder. the back door cylinder was based on a GHH 1 pattern, but fortunately a GMH 1 key would fit in the rares cylinder as well, so he copied the GMH 2 to a GMH 1 so it would fit the door cylinders and ignition, and then set up the back door so the new key would work it, so now we have the same key to doors ignition and rear door, the glovebox is on a completley different key and couldnt be keyed alike which is like they were from factory anyways.
The way I read that is that these are GM2 type keys..The same as the rares sets
So that would make these GM1 and a round glove box. (yes/no?)
So was Jennies tail gate lock from an earlier van that did not have GM2 or did they come with 3 keys?
And I don't know what these FX to HG keys are referred to as and I know they are not relevant to Sandmans but thought I'd put them in for reference. GM0??
The reason I ask is I want to avoid the rares locks and just get the correct keys like above and get all the locks changed to suit but not sure about what the tail gate should be and because they will be genuine I might not get away with what jennies lock smith did with the 2 different locks with 1 key.
Anyone?
Using your picture as the example here:
WB & Commodore shared a lot of stuff, including the keys.
This pic is how new VB-VL Commodores came - with those 3 keys.
The 2 plastic headed keys are the main keys, and fit every lock.
The metal key, with the large tri-foil shaped hole, is the 'service' key that only fits the ignition & door locks.
