GTS wheel paint

Just a word of warning on some of the overseas made GTS rims.
One of the SS owners from here in WA bought a set and brought them around to me to ask my opinion on them as he was not happy with them.
I will put it this way it looked like the were welded together by a 5 year old with his eyes closed.
Some sections were only half welded and it looked like they needed to increase the wire
feed speed in places and the amps in others.
There was no way I would fit them to any of my cars let alone a completely restored SS
like his is going to be.

paul,i purchased a set from rocket which are the wheel vintique brand...these were 15x7 for my 69 gto...absolutely perfect is the only way to describe them..they balanced up near perfect and i have had no issues with anything about them...car drives perfect with them on....what brand was your mates wheels??

I am not sure. I will have to chase him up as to where they came from.
They came as a rim and tyre package and when they arrived they were not fitted with the tyres they were supposed to have (they were fitted with a lot cheaper brand than they told him they would have on them.) and had the welding problem I spoke of.
