I'm polishing up my bumperettes and one is coming up like a mirror and the other is just staying dull. I'm using autosol which normally works fine but not on this one. Can any one help.

the chrome has gone off or been polished away...buy another bumperette..take autosol with you to polish it first..
Thanks Ozbox I've been polishing the hell out of it and getting nowhere might have to just get them redone or get some reco ones. Any idea which would be cheaper?
depends where you shop..if yours are nice and straight then get them redone...what state are you in?

Why I have your attention what's the best way of rechroming the head light inserts
Is there chrome paint for that.
The headlight inserts are aluminium, autosol does a great job on them.

These have had it it's all pealling off. They really need redoing.
dandenong bumpers is very good for chrome..also known more commonly as aaa vinnies...
headlight inserts?..you meen the headlight surrounds?..what model?
I have a 84 wb van. I'm talking about the reflective pieces inside the headlight.
