It was a tidy ute Agro, did you ever track it down?

Unfortunatly not.
I spoke to the bloke who bought it from me in 2004.
He sold it to a bloke in SA in 2007.
EVERY time i see a HG ute on Ebay/Car sales etc i look at the build date to see if it's the one.

Nice old girl you had there. Seen a 253 HG auto (on the tree) ute with genuine GTS dash traded by the Holden Dealer in Esperance WA in the early 80's from an old guy who had it from new in Noreseman, I have always wondered how rare that ute would have been as I never see any genuine V8 HG utes that much on web sites.

Thanks for that. It had a factory 173 in it (when it started life), which created many arguements about it's originality.

Wow, Oz i remember quiet a few of those cars , suzuki hatch dually would be around the time of the jap crap being in there yes ?
and the buick , with 455? engine ( if i remember rightly )
