You've probably already coded it out but I would have thought there would be a bit more room than $3000 for a platinum metallic,black interior,6 cyl,gts. Provided of course its not one for Fred Flintstone and you can find a bit with the old paint on it to match the tags. Looks like thats were all the ht coupes end up going by a article in the last Australian Muscle car mag! All the best with the negotiations, you could always try a bulk buy who knows you might have been tripping over saginaws, ahh the dreams.

I've bought a couple of cars where the owners were unwilling to part with them.

In both cases I've left my name and phone number with the owners, asking them to ring me if they changed their mind. I've ended up paying what they were asking, but in both cases it was well below market value. It just pays to be persistant because it may take you years.

I've just recently picked up a barn find. A late model mini. Hadn't seen sunshine for 21 years and 65K on the clock. I was honest in the appraisal and even suggest they get a second opinion on value.

It was their late fathers pride and joy, and they were determined that it go to someone who would appreciate it, and care for it. I was not the highest offer but ended up owning it as the higest bidder told them he was going to on sell it.
