I got all the panels in hi fill over the weekend. That leaves me 9 days, and counting, to get it ready for paint. I can feel a few early afternoon disappearances from work coming on.

Looking sweet man gonna come up an absolute gem.. Just a question as im new to panel repair. Did you just replace rusty sections by cutting out the rust then either boarding it over with a new panel section and then bogging it up?

The rusty bits were cut out and new steel welded back in, ground down then bogged and filed. The bog is mainly for tidying up the welds.

Auto stores (Repco Auot Pro etc) tend to charge heaps more for it. Find a local auto paint supply shop, they will usually give you a better deal (and qualified advice) on all the stuff you need like wet 'n dry sand paper, bog, paint, thinners and can recommend what to use etc.

Room , at the moment, is not a real problem as the panels are in 1/3 of my garage. I've sent my block of flats....oops....I mean my 67 Impala down the road to a mates warehouse that he calls his sandpit. Man, you should see the sandpit

I'll see if he'll let me take pics of the "memorabillia warehouse". Anyway, I've got the van in the double bay of my shed but, because it rained AGAIN yesterday, I had to put the hotrod back in with the van so I could leave the panels where they were. A couple of sickies this week should see the panels ready for paint. I've also had a few "last minute" repairs to do but am still on track (I think....I hope) to get to the spray booth on Wednesday week.

I'd love to have a bigger shed but Mrs GTS cant comprehend a 10 acre block of land with a 9.5 acre garage on it.....Oh, and a house as well..?

The panels are where the Chev is parked.....

The van is being built in the double bay.......
