Question Australia's most famous van ?

Just the topic while kickin' back with a quiet ale in The Lounge...
As many well known vans have changed owners in the last six months, I recently heard of a discussion over "Australia's most famous van" and found opinions were not what I expected. What do most van owners think. If you think it would be a van from interstate, what is your states most famous van.

Most famous would be.... one that most people remember today. So I reckon most average punters picture a HX/HZ Sandman of any colour really.

Best van however is open to debate, so I reckon it would have to be a custom van from back in the day and as i was too young at the time I have absolutely not a clue. The only one I reallyr remeber was a tough as HR van in street machine in the late 80's. It was candy apple red with a V8 and a flip front. No idea what it was called now though.

First you have Midnight Express which is stored in a Musuem
Then you have Alley Cat which featured on the first edition of Street Machine only to be given away later.
One of my 3 favourite vans - Street Legal which was a former Newcastle van, also was involved in the Penrite commercial.
Wizard - which had a Ford 460 motor in it and all the money Fuzz spent on it using his credit card.

Jade and XX-308 as well as The Beast & The Judge must also factor into this.
Invader 2001 must also get a mention for those famous Gull Wing doors

Total Eclipse, Miss Misty Blues & Sheer Heart Attack also need to be added.

This list would be sooo hard to choose from

We had two in our street, both owned by the same bloke. His first was a green Bedford van called "THE WIZARD " the other was a yellow HJ van called "MYSTIC" it had a mural of a horse with wings that looked like a chick's head from a distance. I don't know if this is the same one but it was the only mystic van picture that I could find.

His vans are the reason I got into them. I had all ways wanted a Sandman van with side pipes, surfboard on the roof, and a spunky blonde sheila.

my favourite was a HQ van called the star gazer, I saw at Kiama when on holidays as a kid about 74 or 75, had a see-thru bonnet, any one remember it, I think it was stolen and burnt out not long later.
