I went for this colour combo on my HZ replica...

As AgrO71 was saying in another thread, the best thing about doing a replica is that you can option it up the way you want it.

I wanted a HZ front and really wanted yellow but I did`nt like the jasmine so I went for the absynth from the HX colour codes... The stripe option was DY1 or DY2. I did`nt like the blue stripes with the yellow so went for the brown ones which I`d never seen before on the yellow and yeah I thought it sounded pretty strange too but it worked out quite well.

A bit like a chocolate and banana paddle pop lion? I`d never thought of that but it sure sounds good to me

    Does look good.

I do like how you have blended the spoiler. Is it metal?

    Cheers

Nah mate that`s BOG! My brother did it...

To cut a long story short the `Rare Spares` spoiler was`nt a great fit and really took some major sorting out ... After trimming it up etc to get it on the front of my ute it was all outta whack on the ends so my brother got the BOG out and BOGGED it into the gaurds then sanded it back to get it even on both sides... He also put a some metel rods inside the front spoiler then welded some more rods from that onto the front of the nosecone then filled the whole front spoiler with foam... Basically the whole front (nose cone, guards and front spoiler) is a one-piece and I wrote my name in there somewhere as well

Looks great but if I ever cruch the front spoiler the whole front comes off to start again.

While I`m mentioning BOG some-one out there tell me how to straighten a car up without BOG?

I didn't realise the attention to detail.
DEFINATLY looks the part for sure.
The foam you were talking about, is that the expanding foam you get from Bunnings?

Hi there again AgrO, yeah mate that`s the stuff but not too sure where it come from, it was pretty high density stuff too so if you ever use it clean up the overspill quick or you`ll be there for a while cleaning it up afterwards.

A quick word about the front spoiler... there`s a bit of a shudder in the front at about 80 clicks that I can only put down to the front spoiler. This was eliminated when I put the bullbar on to go truckin` round` on holidays... It does`nt do anything else different at any other speed with or without the bullbar even at very high speeds ooopps

Lately my brother got that bonnet straight and I`ve given the grill and headlight surrounds a new lick of paint, getting the bumpers and over-riders re-chromed next... she`ll look pretty schmick after that.

It really did raise some eyebrows when I was outback on holidays... not too sure if it had much to do with the stripe/ colour combo though...
