    Getting the bush out is only hard if you want to reuse it. Burning it out will be easy enough.

    If you hit them enough they will come out soak them with wd 40 or something

    The product you want is "Reducteur" and an air chisel.
    Reducteur isn't cheap but works. Bunnings link

    Thanks for that, I'll give it a go. After 36 years it might not be too keen to come out easily!

    Mate remember if you are going to remove the springs, they are what attaches your diff to the van.... Don't pull the springs with stands under the diff, you will have more then a sore head. Support the van on stands under the chassis.

    Thanks for all the helpful advice; managed to remove, re-bush & re-fit the springs without injury!
