I've never been given any info either, apart from telling me if a vehicle was still registered. I'd be kind of pissed if the RTA started giving out my details to people as well.

You can't find out anything in NSW as I tried, its all about privacy, I told the RTA the number plates on our original van so I could chase up the guy who bought it from us, but got know where, I had forgotton his name.
