Vehicle history

I'm not having much luck with motor reg in S.A - they do not provide vehicle history if I provide VIN, chassis numbers etc. Seems in other States you guys have a facility to search for original or owner history.

Anyone have success in S.A. Is there a National database the public can get access to?

Havent tried it myself but (AOMC) vic - association of motoring clubs inc vic - are supposed to have the old vic roads card data base for rego's,engine numbers etc. They have a website if you google it. Expect it wouldnt have any personal details but if you were chasing original rego or confirmation for a date correct motor it would be handy.

Records are sorted by engine numbers, not just original but any that have ever been in it. And only VIC rego.
