Thanks Adam.....appreciate the help mate.
How can you tell it's a XX7 ?
Just wondering if you have any bucket seats, interior door panels and kick panels for sale?
I spoke to you a while ago and I knew you had a few holden parts for sale.
Cheers Alex

As long as the BODY plate displays BODY number 427425, build date is 9/78 or 10/78 and the chassis number is close to BHZ33000A then you most likely have a complete HZ XX7. The main giveaway is the 2000kg GVW.
Because that is its body number. It is contained in the number 8M70RJL427425Z.
8 M(base model) 70(body style) R(engine type) J(model year) L4(assembly plant) 27425(Vehicle serial number) Z(series code).
Base model.........panelvan............253............. ......79?...............Adelaide..............body number...........................HZ

I am sure I have read somewhere that some Adelaide built commercials had body numbers that did not match the ID tags due to them having chassis built in Sydney and bodies built in Adelaide. Correct me if I am wrong?:errf:
