Just saw this post. I don't think it should ever cause any confusion, as in the wider picture for the more valuable Holdens and Toranas the numerical part of the PSN normally doesn't match the BODY number. It's really only a 1973ish onwards thing and only from some plants. The main reason I can see that Elizabeth didn't change to the matching BODY and PSN setup was because they were building bodies for Dandenong and Pagewood hence they'd have had big gaps in their PSN numbering. As the records were listed by PSN it would have created a problem for them. I don't think it is a coincidence that Pagewood and Dandenong commercial production ceased pretty close to the time that Elizabeth started using PSN's as BODY numbers.
