VIN number

hi i'm new to this site
i have a HX sandman and am wanting to find where it was made
i have all the codes but mine dose not match what i can find
mine go's
8M70RGL36****x
everything else reads spot on to what i can find can any one help ?????

Hi Dan welcome and hope you find a lot more info on this site.
Go to this link and look at the bottom section - you can work out the details from your VIN and other plates you have.

Yours is a 4.2lt HX from 1977, Built in Adelaide.

how did you tell it was from adelaide i am still trying to work it out from what you posted up
or dose this mean L1 2 3 4 L5 could be on the vin if so it makes more sence

Assembly Plant
H1-H4 – Brisbane
H5-H9 – Sydney
J1-J9 – Dandenong
L1-L5 – Adelaide

Your VIN indicated L3 therefore Adelaide. If I can change the layout to make it easier to understand, please let me know happy to help out.

nah it ok thanks heaps i just thought it might be just L1 and L5 for adelaide not with 2 3 4 could also be there gess i just did not think
